The venerable Cadac J-Type has a new module!

This handy one-module-width accessory will provide plates upon plates of steaming hot toast to enjoy during those long, boring tech rehearsals or performances. With crafty programming, the innovative sound engineer could even provide sandwiches and sundries to hungry theatre patrons during the interval (UK) / intermission (US).

At the heart of the 7666 Toast Module are two toast intake slots, both equipped with two silica-fiber heating coils, providing up to 120°C of bread-burning power. The slots measure 1.25" x 6" to accommodate even the largest slices of bread, such as those found in Japan, or bagel halves, more common in New York.

The heating density is controlled by a standard J-Type mono channel fader; 0dB has been calibrated as the world-average toastocity level, while +10dB will subject the dough to burning heretofore experienced only in Hell.

For added convenience, a J-Type motor channel fader may be used to automate toasting functions. Unfortunately support for the CGC program is not available; the Programmable Toast Module may only be used with SAM revisions 1.05 build A version 4.2 build B only.

Individual "EJECT" buttons permit manual override lest the programming or fader control fail during a performance.

Additionally, a temperature gauge located at the bottom of the module indicates the module heat transient and will forewarn the user from placing cold drinks or chocolate snacks near the toast module, lest they become warm and/or melted.

Please note that the J-Type Programmable Toast Module may only be installed in current EMC-compliant frames with the proper fader-tray fan kit installed, and the use of the Toast Module requires the use of switched-mode power supplies.
